You can do as much, or as little, as you want!
There are several nearby villages with produce markets to visit or just to stroll through and enjoy their historical character. Some of our favourites are Estaing (Chateau d’Estaing, gradually being restored, is well worth a visit) and St Eulalie D’Olt – but almost all the local villages are characterful and interesting.
For ‘foodies’ the offerings range from local cafes and bistrots, to 3 star Michelin dining – all within 30 minutes drive.
There are plenty of local walks, and sections of longer ones – including GR 65 which overlaps with the via Podensis pilgrimage route near Estaing.
Easy day trips include Albi, Conques, the Gorges du Tarn, Rocquefort, and Millau – in fact, it is possible to drive to the Mediterannean in just over 2 hours! There are too many possibilities to list them all, but we have included some links below to help you find things that may appeal to you, or to assist with planning for your holiday.
